¡¡¡¡ Survey
of Department of United Front in CUG (Wuhan)
¡¡¡¡ The united front has been part of the Party¡¯s general line and polices
all through the ages. It occupies an important strategic position; therefore,
the elder revolutionists valued highly the work of the united front
and regarded it as one of the three magic weapons in Chinese revolutions.
The past revolutions and socialist construction have proved that under
the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, uniting all the unitable
strength, mobilizing all positive factors, converting the negative factors
to the positive ones and forming the most extensive united front, are
the important assurance of overcoming any difficulty and winning any
revolution and the socialist construction. In the new historical contexts,
out Party pays close attention to work of the united front in higher
education institutions and treats the higher education institutions
as the theoretical origin of the united front and the source of the
Party¡¯s representatives.
¡¡¡¡CUG is a national leading university. Among its faculty and staff,
there are many unitable people. Some famous scholars outside the Party
have not only made advanced academic achievements but also established
the extensive social influence. Attaching importance to the work of
uniting those unitabe people, mobilizing their enthusiam and bringing
into play their role in both material and spiritual civilization constructions,
