Brief Introduction:
The Communist Youth League of CUG is a
mass organization of excellent youth in CUG under the leadership of
the university Party Committee. It is the assistant and reserve of the
Party and an organization that learns the Communist theories in practical
work.
In new situations, the Communist Youth League tries to explore actively
new thoughts and new models of the League construction in higher education
institutions, inherit excellent traditions, create specialties and establish
brands to promote the work in the League and make greater contributions
to the cause of the Communist Youth League.

General objective and guideline:
The general objective of work in the Communist Youth League of CUG
is: through the thorough study of Deng Xiaoping Theory and Three Represents,
to help the youth set up sublime ideals and firm belief; through accomplishing
main work, to form a working pattern that is in compliance with the
general layout of the national reform and open policies and the modernization
construction, and through constructing the working system and strengthening
the construction of the League, to make new explorations in forming
the operation mechanism for work concerned with social youth and consolidating
the working foundation.
Surrounding the above general objective, to promote the comprehensive
development of work in the Communist Youth League, all the staff in
the League will always uphold the Party¨s basic theory and line as their
guide. Meanwhile, in the new century we should emancipate our mind,
seek truth from facts, think much of overall situations and serve both
the society and the League.
Intensifying the study of Deng Xiaoping Theory
The university League Committee has been arming and educating all League
members with Deng Xiaoping Theory in solidifying and leading League
members to realize the great objective in the new century.
Promoting central tasks such as the cross-century youth civilization
project, the new century youth talent project, the activity of ＾ serving
ten thousand villages￣ , the enterprising of Chinese youth and the sci-tech
innovation of Chinese youth.
2 Strengthening the construction of the League
Strengthening the construction of the League is the necessary demand
of the cross-century new development of the Communist Youth League and
the urgent requirement of the development of the League itself.
