¡¡¡¡Main Functions:

¡¡¡¡¡¡ The Party Affairs Office shares the office with the President Office. The ¡° 211 Project¡± Office, the Administrative Information Center and the Alumni Office are all under the name of the President Office.The main functions of the Party Affairs Office are as follows:

16. Establish, improve and carry out the writing standards of the university official articles; be responsible for the writing and implementing of various documents written under the name of the Party Committee, the university, the Party Affairs Office and the President Office, and for important reports and speeches committed by the university leaders in important occasions.

17. Establish, improve and carry out the implementing standards of the official articles; provide suggestions for documents from the outside and organize the reading, distributing and supervising of the documents; check and approvefor the manuscripts written under the name of the Party Committee, the university, the Party Affairs Department and the executive offices and departments, and be responsible for proofreading and printing, distributing, uploading onto the network and supervising documents at the university¡¯s level and documents issued by the President Office and the Party Affairs Office.

18. Make arrangements for general meetings held by the Party Committee, the Standing Committee, the University Affairs Committee, the Party Affairs Office and the President Office and for coordinating and arranging the weekly activities in the university.

19. Deal with the dynamic information and the work information of the whole university, including the collecting, sorting, storing and reporting of the information concerned and for the editing and issuing of important happenings in the university and public briefings about the university affairs.

20. Center on the work of the Party Committee and the university; make investigations and researches under the direction of the university authorities to provide suggestions to the authorities for their reference.

21. Supervise and handle opinions from the superiors including the university authorities and decisions made by the Party Committee and the university.

22. Manage the secrecy work of the whole university.

23. Deal with correspondences, receive visitors, make distributary transactions according to functions of the offices or departments concerned, and supervise, urge and examine the results of the transactions.

24. Organize and coordinate the general affairs of the university and affairs designated by the university authorities.

25. Pigeonhole documents from the outside, documents at the university¡¯s level, documents from the Party Affairs Office and the President Office as well as the manuscripts of the university authorities.

26. Be responsible for the use and management of seals at the university¡¯s level and for the carving of seals used in all levels of the Party¡¯s and administrative organizations in the university.

27. Administer the branch offices in Beijing and Shenzhen.

28. Be responsible for the synthetical and statistical work.

29. Make plans for and administer the ¡° 211 Project¡± construction.

30. Accomplish other work designated by the university authorities.
