¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Archives Repository
¡¡¡¡Brief Introduction:
¡¡¡¡Archives Repository of CUG (Wuhan), established
in 1992, is a second-level unit under the direct leadership of the university.
It exercises supervision, direction and management of all sorts of dossiers
in the university.
¡¡¡¡Archives Repository is now composed of three agencies: archives of
books and literature, archives of science and technology and archives
of audio-visual materials. It is outfit with the staff of 14, 4 people
with the professor¡¯s rank and 6 with the medium rank. Archives Repository
is responsible for the safekeeping and utilizing of 14 kinds of dossiers
and materials in aspects of the Party and the mass, executive administration,
teaching, science researching, product developing, infrastructure construction,
equipment, publishing, foreign affairs, financial accounting, audio-visual
materials, personnel, students and geological mapping materials. By
the end of the year 2002, the dossier amount held by Archives Repository
has amounted to 83,214 volumes, occupying the rack length of 730 meters
and containing 47,554 photographs of all kinds and 30,338 photographs
on mapping and navigating.
¡¡¡¡To develop and utilize the dossier resources and to standardize and
modernize the dossier management, in 1993, the staff of Archives Repository
self-dependently developed ¡° Dossier Managent System¡± and improved it
gradually in practical application. Thus management of the university¡¯s
dossiers entered into a new stage.
¡¡¡¡With the effort of all the staff in Archives Repository, dossier management
in CUG has made detectable achievements and has been conferred with
different titles since the year 1984 on.
¡¡¡¡Through the past fifty years¡¯effort, work in Archives Repository of
CUG (Wuhan) has formed the situation of leadership regarding, institution
healthiness, staff stabilization, all of one mind, solidarity and consistency.
As long as we archives staff revivify and study and work harder to continuously
exploit and create in the cause of dossiers, with the step-by-step implementation
of the ¡° 211 Project¡± of CUG (Wuhan), the dossier management in the
university must be able to acquire quicker development in the coming
years.
