Application
Procedures:
1.Any international student who
is willing to pursue studies in CUG can directly apply to the Overseas
Student Affairs Section in CUG International Cooperation and Exchange
Office. The studying experience and Chinese level of the applicants
should be made clear. Applicants can then come down with Directory on
Studying in CUG (Wuhan) and Application Form for Overseas Students to
Study in CUG (Wuhan).
2.Applicants shall mail the Application Form, certificate of their
own studying experience, school report card, recommendation, and some
other regarding materials to the Overseas Student Affairs Section in
CUG International Cooperation and Exchange Office.
3.Those who have been examined and enrolled by the university will
receive the Matriculation Notice, Application Form of Visa for Studying
in China (namely the JW202 form), and Physical Examination Record of
Foreigners.
4.Applicants who have been granted admission can apply for X Visa
in the Chinese Embassy.
5.Applicants who have been granted admission shall come to the Overseas
Student Affairs Section in CUG International Cooperation and Exchange
Office for registration. According to the requirements of Matriculation
Notice, they should bring 8 photos with the size of those in passport.
Those who have exceeded the time limit will be deprived of qualification
for admission.

Requirements
for Admission
1.Basic Requirements
International students who are to study in CUG must obey the concerning
rules and regulations of both our country and the university, and respect
the Chinese traditions and customs. Those who have acted against the
Chinese laws, harmed the safety of our country, destroyed the social
orders or damaged other¨s interests will be deprived of admission and
punished by the public security organs in China.
2.Requirements for studying experiences
1) Undergraduates
International students, who are under 25 years old, with the school
report card and parchment equal to those issued by senior high school
in China, can be enrolled as undergraduates in CUG after being examined
as qualified.
2) Graduates
International students, who are under 40 years old, with the diploma
equal to that of Bachelor¨s Degree in China or the same studying experience,
can be enrolled in CUG. They should also be recommended by two tutors
(at least associate professors), submit their college course list and
their school report card, and go through examination as qualified.
3) Doctoral students
International students, who are under 45 years old, with the recommendation
of two tutors (at least associate professors), can be enrolled after
being examined as qualified. Their master¨s course list, school report
card and graduation paper should also be attached.
4) Students attending in advanced studies
International students who have the studying experience of two years
in college in their countries can come to CUG to pursue studies relevant
to their previous majors. They should be under 35 years old and fulfil
their studies within one to two years.
5) Senior students attending in advanced studies
International students who have graduated from college and have been
granted diplomas equal to those of Master¨s Degree can come to CUG to
pursue further studies on a certain subject. They should be under 45
years old and fulfil their studies within generally one year.
6) Students studying Chinese
International students who have the studying experience equal to that
of at least senior high school in China can come to CUG to study Chinese.
They should under 55 years old and fulfil their studies within one to
two years.
3. Requirements for health condition
International students who are to pursue their studies in CUG must
be in good health condition without serious diseases, infectious diseases
and serious physical defects. They should go through rigorous physical
examination before come to China. Those who suffer from diseases stated
as follows shall not come to CUG for studies. Once they come and are
found out, they will be flunked right away.
1) AIDS sufferers or AIDS carriers.
2) All kinds of avdity tuberculosis and pulmonary tuberculosis.
3) Those who have undertaken figuration of thoracic cage, or who have
been removed of one or more of the lobes of lungs.
4) Serious chorinics, such as bronchial asthma, bronchial dilatation,
rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis, ulcer, and hepatocirrhosis, etc.
5) Heart disesases (rheumatoid heart disease, inborn heart disease,
coronary heart disease, etc.) and hypertension.
6) Acute and chronic infectious diseases (such as hepatitis and syphilis)
7) Acute and chronic nephritis and serious genitourinary diseases,
etc.
8) Serious anaemia, obvious splenomegalia and haematogenous dysfunction.
9) Sufferers with psychosis (including hysteria), falling sickness
and those who have a history of suffering from those diseases.
10) Sufferers who are with serious nerve dysfunction, and often suffer
from insomnia, headache, hypomnesia so that they can not keep normal
studying.
11) All kinds of cancers and some other diseases (such as hyperparathyroidism,
diabetes, lupus erythematosus, anuresis, etc.)
12) Hansens disease and some other infectious skin diseases.
13) Those with serious disbilities or malformation.
14) Serious visual disturbance (such as: high myopia, high astigmatism,
high hypermetropia, etc.) and color blindness, deafness, hard of hearing,
and so on.
4. Requirements for Language Level:
Undergraduates are required to study in Chinese. For those who have
never learned Chinese before coming to China, or whose Chinese level
is not competent for studies concerning their majors, they should learn
basic Chinese for 1 or 2 years after their coming. They can only start
their studies concerning majors after being tested and affirmed to have
reached a certain Chinese level.
For senior students attending advanced studies, and graduates pursuing
Master¨s and Doctor¨s Degrees, they are required to have a relatively
high level in Chinese, and should be able to carry out studies and research.
Graduates who are pursuing their studies in other languages should
take up the study of Chinese for a certain school hours so as to adapt
to the demands of daily life and the composition of dissertation.
