The Vice President of CUG: Wu Ganguo　

　　Wu Ganguo: He was born in April of 1946 in Huangmei , Hubei Province.

　　In 1969, he graduated from Geology Department in Beijing College of Geology, majoring in geology.

　　In 1982, he was granted Master of Science by Beijing Graduate Section of Wuhan College of Geology.

　　From 1985 to 1986, he carried on further studies in Moscow College of Geological Prospection.

　　From 1987 to 1993, he assumed successively vice department dean, dean, and director of scientific research section, vice director of Mechanic Research Institute under Ministry of Geological Mineral Products, etc. He has long dedicated to the teaching and research in fields of structural geology, geomechanics, and structure of mine fields.

　　From February of 1993 to March of 1998, he assumed successively vice director and director of Research Institute of Geomechanics under Ministry of Geological Mineral Products.

　　From July of 1997 until now, he acts successively as secretary of party committee and vice president in CUG( Beijing ), secretary of party committee and vice standing president, secretary of party committee and president, and at the same time vice president of CUG.
